the journey has been completed

Back home in the western parts of Norway after a rather interesting day… woke up about three hours after the bus I was supposed to be on, had left the city. Four hours to the next bus. Looking out the window, and there is – no surprice there – snowing! And guess what, it’s snowing a lot too! (did I mention that I don’t like snow?!?)

Anyway, couldn’t do anything with the weather, so had to try to make the best of it. about the same time my friend is opening the door to the bathroom to take a shower the electricity in the dorm goes out. Suddenly we sat there, meters of snow outside and no power. Thanks! This was about one o’clock, and all I could think of was my bus leaving in about three hours. Half an hour later one friend of my friend was going to dig out the car so that they could drive me to the bus. He gave up before he’d begun… the roads were full off snow, and there was no one trying to get writ of it… (at this stage my rally, really sick humour took control of me, and I was just laughing – loud, and all the time…) about an hour later another friend of my friend entered with a car, and after he’d driven that into the snow and we’d dug it out again… (not kidding) we finally went down towards the city.

And let me just say one thing. We were driving past cars standing in the middle of roads, and all you could see was the antenna… it’s just been crazy!

Manage to be at the bus stop 15 min before the bus was supposed to leave. (after a rather funny trip to a really huge store!) the clock was about a quarter to four when I entered the bus, not knowing it was stuck in the snow. After working AN HOUR to get it from the FIRST bus stop we were able to leave the city. 45 minutes late… the bus was just stuck, in the main bus terminal in on of the largest cities in Norway for 45 minutes because it was 30cm of snow! It was the wildest thing ever! So, to make up for the four of us which had waited at the bus for 45 minutes, we got the ticket for free. (so I’ve saved like 250NOK in two days because of the snow… which is GREAT:) )

Four hours later entering the city where I currently live, and there is no snow to be seen. I was just to pleased. There is like no snow here at all, but still freezing cold, but no snow:)

Back home I’ve cleaned my room (needed to be done) – all that’s left is to vacuum, and I’m thinking about taking an early night. Leaving for Cambodia on Wedensday, and have a couple of things I need to do… (ehm, way to much to me honest…) so- thanks for this day.

Just one thing, you bus driver of the day. You did a good job – although you talked a bit to much with me… anyway. 35,5 years behind the weal, and not your changing careers. That’s impressive (or just really stupid). Anyway, good luck, and yeah, I’ll by you an elephant if I find one.

To the rest of you. Go to sleep – you probably need it!

Till next time I accidentally remember my password. Enjoy!
